- 1 cup soaked Dhuli moong Dal
- 1 cup washed and chopped spinach
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- as per taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- As needed Ghee to tempering
- Pinch hing
- as required Jeera and mustard seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp green chilli+garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
Steps to make to make Dal Palak
- Pressure cook soaked dal together with spinach,grated ginger, salt and turmeric powder
- Heat ghee in a pan. Crackle jeera, mustard seeds and hing. Add onions and let it turn pink. Add green chilli paste and chopped tomatoes. Let it cook for few minutes. Add boiled dal and give a good mix.
- Before serving, heat a tsp ghee. Crackle jeera and add red chilli powder in it. Pour this tadka over dal and serve hot (I did with tomato rose)
